Mobile Apps

I have been looking for some apps that provide a Traveller-esque experience to play with on my phone. I've found some space/sci-fi rpg games, but nothing really connected to Traveller. Except for these two:

Sector - Sci-Fi RPG map tool :vp :vp :vp (that is literally the whole title of the app)
Developer: Taptix Ltd
http://taptix.net/sector
This app is basically a mobile version of the travellermap. You can download sectors, import sector info, create your own sectors... it's pretty rad. It also offers an iPad version.

Fighting Fantasy: Starship Traveller :complication
Developer: Tin Man Games
http://fightingfantasyapps.com/books/st ... traveller/
I already had this one (via Steam) and it is... terrible. It's like a poorly executed version of a Choose Your Own Adventure book, where you don't really have any choices... And, it uses so much CPU that my computer overheats just thinking about it.

Then I found Art Gorski.

TAS Form 2 :vp :vp :vp
Developer: Art Gorski

He has made a LOT of apps to support (mostly Classic) Traveller RPG players. Some of his other titles include:
  • GunMaker for Traveller5™
  • Orbital Yards
  • VehicleMaker for Traveller5™
  • ArmorMaker for Traveller5™
  • Adventure Class Ships (T5)

Lastly, here is BGG's list of Mac and iOS app resources (clearly incomplete).

agreed on the Starship Traveller game from Tin Man... I think it shortened my laptop's life expectancy by 12-16 months.

I don't think I've tried it yet. Is it basically just a merchant simulator?
