Yes, for the first I truly succeeded since I achieved my victory on Saturday.

The nicest thing of this challenge was that I could not play certain staples, so I had to diverge to other cards which I had not played (often) until now.
No remarkable MVP's this time, but lots of alien :crew played their part again.
Which card(s) did you miss the most?

Actually, there were no cards that were irreplaceable.
In my Non-human heavy deck, I could not play Specialized Habitat, but have not really missed it. I am a fan of Crazy Eddy, but in this deck. without Specialized Habitat and mainly :credit0 :upgrade I did not miss him at all.
For most other cards I could not play in this challenge, I could find decent or even equivalent replacements.

Since I only own the Starter Set and Aliens expansion, I do not know what other cards could have been harder to substitute.

I think clearly that means you have to buy more sets.

Totally unbiased opinion!

4/13/19, "Ricochet"

At the end of each phase, randomly determine a :crew you control and inflict one :wounds upon them. If the selected :crew has Armor, roll a D6. On a 4+, the wounding source is considered to have Armor Piercing 1.
This was a tricky one, with all those phases wreaking havoc.
Made it by the skin of my teeth. I would not have lasted another round.
Thanks go out to some :gear Panacea Autojectors and :heroics Surgical Interventions.

Normally I do not pay for health restoration during the Ready Phase but I found it imperative in this scenario.

Luckily I encountered a few times the :complication which requires you to return a :crew to your hand. Take one with the most wounds and you can play the :crew in the next Procurement Phase healthy and new.

Did it impact your :crew selection at all? For instance, by maybe avoiding those with only 2 :wounds?

Certainly. Although I kept my big friend Buffbot 3000 in my deck. In the end I never had BB3 in my hand, and never needed to Freelance him in play.
Furthermore I played Kydut for his :wounds capacity over Jim Thorne.

5/4/19, "Tight Labor Market"

You may only include a number of distinct :crew cards equal to the :crew slots possessed by your :ship. Note, however, that you may still include multiple copies of each distinct :crew.

For this scenario, the Scout may include up to 5 copies of the same :crew.
The most interesting challenge from the last weeks.
Piloted the :ship Beowulf, which gave me 4 :crew slots. Only in the third round did I draw my first :crew. But with Aminah Darzi and (a round later) Buffbot 3000 I managed to get to my 20 :vp. A few :gear on Aminah helped, combined with Rhal Kais Syndicate. All my :connection were very useful (thanks again Llaezgko and Crazy Eddy) getting :gear and :upgrade and Eddy's generous discount (VAT-free  ).
Actually, I was a bit surprised that it was not as tough as I had expected. Although in theory it could have taken to the fifth or sixth round to get my first :crew on the :ship. That would have complicated matters undoubtedly.

Wow, Buffbot made the cut?

Well, with George Z, Aminah D and Aokhyuk and BB 3000 I can cover more or less every skill without the need to immediatewly sacrifice Aokhyuk.
Some Cognition Wafers are helpful for the Expert skills. Furthermore BB is very cheap.

Never underestimate our metal friends.

But that's four distinct :crew, and the Scout only has three :crew slots.
