Figuring out the best ships without promos for each scenario

What are the easier ships to win each scenario with?

My thoughts, sans promos:
:credit1 - Any ship obviously
:credit2 - Subsidized Merchant feels real good with the Replenish
:credit3 - Bounty Hunter to get some chip damage points by Jettisoning the Opposition
:credit4 - Not Scout (?)
:credit5 - Gazelle to actually fight

Ideas/Opinions?

I'd put in that the Scout can be a good ship. Over load the deck with :event cards to take advantage of its ability, like almost half the deck. Kind of skimpy on the :crew and add in some good :gear to enhance the :crew. Because it has a great :initiative and a good :jump rating as well I think it can do well. Yes a :contract with the need for several capacity tokens can be ruff, but that is where the :event cards can fill in the gap.

I think the subsidized merchant, of all the base ship decks, is probably the easiest to win. It has three :cargopassenger built in, and it has five :crew slots.

I dislike using the Subsidized Merchant for any solo scenario except for 5 (which is the only scenario I dislike due to aforementioned reasons.) It's vastly superior to other mercantile ships, but this is offset by its vulnerability to piracy. Since piracy isn't a thing in any of scenarios 1 through 4, it feels like I'm cheating when using the Subsidized Merchant for any of them.

I could see that. In solo play, the Subsidized Merchant is very strong. Of course, there's always challenges you could add.
