Re: Least Favorite Cards

Drop Capsules do have the advantage that they are Trifling while the sensor suite takes up an :internal slot. :credit3 for a :vp seems like a pretty fair exchange on a ship that already generates :military, actually. Yes that is an excellent point, but I play the Beowulf (semimetal reasons mostly) ...

Any news?
Actually yes! We did ask and according to our distributor, they are available for sale. Hobby retailers should be able to stock them from PSI.

Re: Least Favorite Cards

I don't tend to use Thulse much either, but in his defense, you could give him an Honor Blade or a Combat Knife and then he'd be a cheap :wounds inflicting source. And he could always do Aggravated Assault.

Helloo!

Newly joined up. Love the game.

I know that the Wash-inspired crew card has been flagged already for the egg, but I haven't seen anyone anywhere mention that his name is "Hoban Tudyk" backwards.

Just had to get that off my chest...

Re: Updated Traveller DB!!

Big shout out to Warfgn for doing some really fantastic updates on the Traveller DB . Fixing several errors on cards in the DB to match the real cards and also some new searching options for subtypes on cards. Which means that for :upgrade, :connection and :gear you can now search for their subtype...

Re: Solo Card Ideas - Comments please!

No Opponent also means the race is only with you running out of cards before hitting 20 :vp. Roger that! Playing "The Cost of doing business" really puts you under pressure. This is supposed to be a time-pressure type scenario, but one work around people have used is to spend a few turns to "build ...

Re: Reading material to flesh out the card game

"Bundle of Holding" was selling .pdfs of entire Traveller lines a few months ago. They might do it again. I bought the FFE Classic Traveller CD-ROM and have been very pleased. Yeah, those bundles are a great deal on what's already a very affordable option. I wonder if Marc has ever considered a boo...

Re: Teaching the Game to newbies

I personally still don't understand fully the intent of the :use icon. There probably was a more intuitive or user-friendly way to go about this. The issue we were trying to solve was that we knew :crew taking :action on :gear would be a common occurrence, and it would also be something we'd want t...

Re: Teaching the Game to newbies

The presentation of the icons definitely isn't ideal for everyone, and can be a challenge for the new player experience. When I demo Traveller, I explain the icons as a picture matching game. Rather than worry about what each one means. This works pretty well, though it is less effective for the ico...

Can you use the "On the Lam" event to target one of your own characters and thus get yourself a pirate token?
Yes indeed!
