We've included a number of sci-fi, gaming, historical, literary and pop culture references on Traveller Customizable Card Game products. Community members may acquire special forum medals by identifying a reference and posting it here.
How to Play
To win an Easter Egg, the community member must identify the specific reference material and the Traveller Customizable Card Game product on which it was found.
Each reference will only award one Easter Egg, so the first poster to make the identification wins the egg.
References may be found in flavor text, titles, or art on any Traveller Customizable Card Game product or packaging. A single source may contain multiple references. For instance, a card may have one reference in art and another in flavor text. Each is separately eligible.
The Medals
The Easter Egg hunt includes three medals, and any user may earn all (this is an edit to the original rules, just seems more fun this way).
Easter Egg : Awarded for revealing a standard reference.
Shadow Easter Egg : Awarded for revealing an oblique or obscure reference.
Ghost Easter Egg: An award for a "reference" not originally intended but identified by a member and thematically appropriate.
We ask any user who has qualified for an award to desist from further revelations. Community members who have been awarded an but who are interested in a or may send their findings to me via PM.
Public posts revealing references made by any user who has already been awarded an egg are not eligible, and repeated or egregious offenses may result in disciplinary action.

Card: Professor Leander Standish
Art Easter Egg: The image is very similar to Neil deGrasse Tyson, who (amoung other things) is an astrophysicist. (And the skill on the card is )
Flavour Text Easter Egg: "Do the physics" is a potion of Neil deGrasse Tyson's quote "A bullet fired level from a gun will hit ground at same time as a bullet dropped from the same height. Do the Physics." (Quoted on August 11, 2010 and spawned many t-shirt companies to create "Do the physics" shirts...such as https://www.amazon.com/Neil-deGrasse-Ty ... B0722R4HPN).
Trait Easter Eggs: Two of the traits on the card match the traits Neil deGrasse Tyson has: "Celebrity, and Extravagant"

Re: Easter Egg Hunt!
Good catch Frewfrux! I wouldn’t have gotten the clues, but now I can totally see Neil DeGrasse Tyson in the card. It seems so obvious now...Frewfrux wrote: ↑Sat Feb 17, 2018 11:18 pmCard: Professor Leander Standish
